Under the direction of Dr. Nasim Ahmed, Chief of Trauma and Medical Director of the Surgical ICU at JSUMC, this years meticulously curated agenda features thought leaders from renowned institutions, including Harvard University, UCI Health, and the Georgia Trauma Care Network Commission. Symposium Highlights Include: National Initiatives & Public Health: Hear from Dr. Lenworth Jacobs on the life-saving impact, implementation, and ongoing challenges of the national "Stop the Bleed" program. Specialized Clinical Strategies: Explore the evolution of pediatric abdominal trauma management with Dr. David Mooney (Harvard University) and contemporary approaches to chest trauma and rib fixation with Dr. Sebastian Schubl (UCI Health). The Future of Trauma Surgery: Dive into the intersection of medical ethics, quality, and technology with Dr. Charles E. Binkleys thought-provoking session: "What Makes a Great Trauma Surgeon? Can AI Help?" Nursing & Resuscitation Excellence: Gain insights into the indispensable role of trauma nursing from Elizabeth Atkins, MSN, RN, TCRN, and explore the latest in acute resuscitation and hemodynamic monitoring for hemorrhagic patients with Dr. Charles Adams Jr., Chief of Trauma at Hackensack UMC. Beyond the lectures, the symposium offers ample opportunities for networking, collaborative learning, and exploring the latest medical technology and services at our vendor exhibits during catered breakfast, lunch, and snack breaks. This event is designed for trauma surgeons, emergency physicians, critical care professionals, and members of the prehospital team as well as respiratory therapist, and rehab professionals.
